Lil' Butterflies strives to teach each child on their level of development and help them to grow and learn at a pace that is comfortable to them. Hands-on learning is essential to a child learning about the environment around them. Most of our day is child guided and music is used to teach many skills.
Children are taught good manners, hygiene, basic motor skills--both small and large, and how to communicate with each other. Themes are child-picked based on their interests and expounded upon by including science, math, cooking, motor skills, language development, and social interaction.
More About the Program....
I also have a free parents night out that is open to all fulltime children and their siblings every 2 months. These are a lot of fun and a time for the kids to interact in a less structured atmosphere. These are usually around holidays and I let you know a month in advance so you can plan your night out. Children who have moved on to school are also invited to these nights so they can see their old friends that have went onto to school.
Meals: I serve 2 meals and 2 snacks daily to the children. Breakfast is at 8am, a snack at 10am, Lunch at 12pm, and another snack at 2pm. Meals meet USDA government guidelines and I allow the children to help plan the menus so they are child friendly but also nutritious in content.
Photos are taken often of the children and posted on our private daycare blog that only parents have access to. I will post some of my scrapbook pages on facebook with parental permission if that parent is on facebook. Monthly schedules, news, etc. are also posted on the private blog. Once your child is enrolled and fees are paid, you will be added to the blog.
